DVD hack for Q45

I apologize if this has been discussed before, Im sure it has. On the 2002 Q45 can the DVD-ROM in the truck accept a normal DVD to play? Im sure this would disable the GPS Navi since that disc would have to be removed.

Can a blank DVD-R be encoded properly to play on the stock player? Or do you have to splice into the video feeds going to the 7 inch center screen up front?

do a search...IIRC, somebody a while back posted how to hack the system with pics. Lots of wires, etc. from the trunk where they cut and splice the correct wires together.

I tried a search but those are for an M45 not a Q45....did you find any others?
