Sometimes I get into the dust cleaning mode but I dislike those red dust wipers. It always leaves red lint or those tiny stringy things. Yes I can use a rag but it seems to spread the dust even with water or cleaners.
So if you have the patience, this is what I do at times. Just take ordinary scotch tape, the everyday variety; and just wipe everything down with the tip of your finger. It really looks great in the end. You can hit the nooks and crannies, get into the vent, dab radio area or elsewhere. On the top of the dash I just slide it up and down and side to side and it cleans nicely. Hit small corners, Dab in the shifter, the crack recessed area behind it. Small fingers in certain spots help too.
I use the tape as a wipe and a tool to pick up tiny debris. If your into detail like me, you will like the end result. Of course when I am lazy, I just wipe down with a rag.
Using a q-tip is fine too but sometimes it leaves the white lint but with tape, nothing is left behind.
I am sure there are alot of products out there that work, but tape is cheap and usually sitting around the house. It only takes a good 5-10 minutes to get a good job out of the tape.
Of course I live with the dust most of the time since it's everywhere but I never really noticed it until the grey and black interior of my Rogue.
