i say dont use. i used this paint on my front bumper and didnt like the way it turned out so i swithced to NASON. with paint and reducers i had 4 gallons and a quart. primer, base, and clear all for just 450. your looking to spend 300, is 150 that much more to have quality paint? plus you dont need as much paint as i bought. i just had a few mishaps and had to buy 2 more quarts of base coat. also i painted door jams and everything. not sure what your doing though. please dont use it. its obvious that a paint where hardners and activators are used is going to hold up better than something that can just sit in the can and not dry.

EDIT: actually it was 5 gallons. forgot the base coat reducer

seriously, I can paint a whole color change with jams and everything with 1 gallon and have enough left over to paint a full body kit if i wanted.

If you are going to do that much prep work then paint it with dual stage, it will look so sick.

Would be nice to see how a flat black would look from their line, or even a super black equivalent, hopefully could be forgiving enough that I would consider painting my own car.

ka24depignosecoupe wrote:i have been doing alot of research lately on body work for my coupe. i want to do every thing from start to finish. i have the car sanded and filled in some spots. and now she is ready to paint. i have been looking to getting the factory champagne pearl that the coupe has but it's to much of a problem ot get plus it is expesive!!!(i am on a budget). so a friend of mine told me about duplicolors paint shop line of paints that you can get at almost any autostore, and its about $20 a quart.i didn't beleve him at first but later that night we went to a local meet and there was a fd rx7 that was painted duplicolor's paint shop silver.it looked very good!!! i started to ask the guy about who painted the car and he said that he painted the car in a weekend in his garage!!!!!!!the fd looked as if it had a pro grade paint job!!!!!!after seeing that car i was hooked on that paint.

so i did more research (as i always do!!) and i came across a guy on zilvia that painted his s13 coupe the silver from duplicolor and it looks very good.i know people are thinking right ' what happens when he paints the car silver on the out side and door jams but what happens when he pulls up the carpet and he sees that gold" what i am going to do is strip the interior bare and paint it gloss black from a can. easy solution!!!! i am going to paint my do do brown carpet and interior(does anyone know a good plastic paint for my dash and trim peices?) so what do you guys think?

the guy from zilvias s13 coupe:(before)

You really replied to an 8 month old, almost 3 year old thread just to say it looks like a certain color?

If you look closely, he embedded a handful of links to try and build traffic for another website.

I removed the links, so if you didn't originally see them, you can't now.
