When I copy CD music to a CF card via iTunes on my iMac for use in my G35X, I get one or two files that start with a dash. These files have no music and the cursor jumps over them when playing. Has anyone had this result? How do I avoid or get rid of these empty files?

The player is most likely seeing hidden system files and attempting to play them. If you have these files safely stored somewhere else you can just enable the viewing of hidden files and delete them from the cf card you are going to use in the car.

The system files are the ones that are prefixed by the dot. Don't do this with the original files, to be completely safe and sure that you don't delete a necessary file you can always do this on a separate computer.
