Just ordered a set of Dunlops Star Spec for my G35S. I'll let you guys know how they do once they're on the road.

I had a set of the old version on my RB20 240sx and loved them, they gripped a lot better than the Yokohama parada spec 2's and did better in the rain (seattle) than the spec 2's as well. Considering they are an extreme performance summer tire rather than an ultra high, improved wet handling is great. They seemed to slide a lot more consistently as well rather than gripping and then letting go instantly like the spec 2's. I did notice that after installing an lsd burnouts got really choppy unlike lateral slides, the tires just don't want to let go.

My friend had a set of the star specs on his LS1 FD and they gripped so much better than his other tires that the clutch couldn't hold. His complaint was that when breaking traction they don't seem to want to let go and it can get choppy like I had noticed but they seem worse on his.

But for the price, it is a hell of a tire.
