i ordered some 225/50/16 dunlop fm901s for my S14 to put on the stock wheels. The tire rack held my order because they said it might rub so i have to call them back to confirm. Would this setup rub and would it bulge too much on the stock 6.5 in wide wheel?? Thanks.

1. a 225-50-16 is listed in michelins MAST fitment guid as a correct, and safe puls-zero sizing.

2.I have personally swapped 205-55-16 tires out for 225-50-16's many times over, and havent had one incident of scrubbing yet.

3. tire-rack guys(for the most part) just check the computer fitment listings like you can over their website, most guys couldnt even tell me what the offset for wheels were when I asked.

there ya go. I would advise against the FM901's unless you really like them for some reason(price maybe?)-chet

I have heard good things about them especially from 240 guys and they are cheap, you even suggested them to me. I know they have a soft sidewall, but they provide pretty good dry grip according to the tire racks tests. $360 isn't bad for 4 tires.

K, just making sure. More than likely I did, they provide a good grippy tire for cheap and I like them better than kumho's.. and 360 is uber-cheap for a Z rated tire.-chet
