Dumped my EX35, reliability gas mileage

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Uh, no... you are nuts... Yes, they finally made one faster than the EX35 if you want the Xdrive35i. 300 HP vs 297 HP. It might get 1 MPG more... BUT the comparable price with navigation and leather and bluetooth is OVER 52K before tax! (the 28i with only 240 horses is just 5K less than the 35i) AND THEY ARE STILL UGLY AS HELL and yes - although maintenance is free for the first few years, get used to loaners because the thing will be in the shop more than you would want.

Better, uh...no.

Bigger back seat - yes.
I sit up front in the nicer seat.

OK - I went and test drove a CT 200h with my wife. Very cute car. Not super sexy like the EX, but still nice looking.
Back seat might have a bit more leg room but also seemed more narrow. Interior quality did not compare the the Infiniti at all.
Handling was nice and tight, as was steering.
Room in the hatch was much less than the EX.. space and height.

Acceleration. There was none. It would be so frustrating to hear that little 4banger whine and whine trying to get up to speed from a dead stop. Seriously replulsive. Once you were cruzing the hwy, speed was fine. Just don't try to pass someone. Even my wife...who really liked the look and how she felt inside, said there was no way possible she could get used to the absolute lack of power... And she just has a RX330 which is slow as it it. She said, wow - this makes my RX feel powerful.

It looks nice and sportier than it drives for sure.

I see speculation where Infiniti will bring a diesel to the new G. I would be interested in a diesel ex way more than a hybrid.

This has been a very healthy discussion so far...

I'm curious, where does one find the "retention numbers" of vehicles?

Hey - for what it's worth, I found a new car that is slower than the CT 200h... The new Saturn IQ does 0-60 in 10.8 per motor trend and 11.7 in other tests...

Oh my.

Hey the CT200h made a top ten list. It just got nudged out by the Prius V by 1/10th of a second for 4th place ( in descending order) for the ten slowest cars Motor Trend tested in 2011. Oh so close :-)

XIS u might have had a slip of thought typo... There is no such thing as a Saturn IQ - Saturn was nixed by Obama GM... As was Pontiac FYI.

Scion IQ is the correct manufacturer/model.
