You get a timing light and read the full service manual.

FSM is like the Bible for working on your car.I use it alll the time!!

I believe you hook the timing light to the loop on the back of the motor by the ignitor and shine the light on the crank pulley.

Each mark on the crank pulley is in 5 deg incriments. The first one Clockwise is 0 deg.0, 5, 10, 15, 20 etc...

Then you loosen the 3 bolts on the CAS and turn it till you get what you want.

Stock base timing is 15 BTDC on Manuals and 20 BTDC on Auto's.

Can you run 15 BTDC on Auto ecu's???Not that I have one but just curious....

theres some things you're supposed to disconnect like the TPS and IAC if i remember right. that puts the motor to its base timing so its not jumping around like crazy
