custom engine mounts, GM bell housing, 4 sp transmission, shifter, etc... you might have to move back the firewall a bit as we had to in the 240 in order to get the transmission in there. we are using the stock rear end. got the car for 300 bucks, not running and no damage to the body.. the exhaust manifolds might end up a bit creative also on ours, not much room in there.

being that MK3 Supra motors blow gaskets constantly, the small block may be an improvement. but i still love the Mk3 Supra turbo engine (unfortunately i don't remember the code.. *sniff*)

7M "a head gasket away from greatness" I had one, enjoyed it, left it in a garage for four years, came back to the states, put a new battery in it, changed the oil and it started right up! sold it before I left, "Toyotas don't die they just rust away"

the only way I would stick a big monstrous heavy iron Detroit V8 in a 240 would be full tilt; aluminum heads, huge blower etc, 1000hp or more or do not pass go. Just my opinion of course.

do not do this!!!!!!the supra is a great car with a great engine, swap in the 7M-GTE and start upgrading, that engine can put down some serious numbers, i have a non-turbo, and my bro has a turbo, he's planning on doing some serious upgrading, i've seen people who with a upgraded fuel system (fuel pump, injectors etc) who are putting down around 500hp at the rear wheels, and this aint b.s. i've seen the dynos, yes the head gasket isn't that reliable, but how great do u think an old american engine is?

as for the 2JZ? wow, don't even get me started, if u can find one, do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you'll be very very fast if you swap this engine in will run low 13's completely stock

now on a completley different topic, why the hell do mkIII supras get no respect? nobody seems to know what the hell they are, i've pulled up to people who ask what car i have, i say supra, and they tell me i'm lying, that it's not a supra!!!

they only supras they know are mk IVdamn fast and the furious!!!

I love MKIII supras man, almost got one...i always wondered y they didnt get much respect... i saw one eat a 12 sec. '00 T/A alive!!!

and BTW, hes right, 7M-GTE is the MKIII turbo motor, and a 2JZ-GTE, even a 1JZ would be sick!!!!!!

MKIV TT is my dream car! but i would settle for an MKIII turbo ;)

Man MKIII's get plenty respect in my town. All the Nova and mustang guys use the mkIII as the benchmark for non sucky imports.
