Dumb Q...How do I discern which motor my 95 Hardbody has?

No owner's manual or anything (except what I've dl'd from here!), I bought it used and got nothing more than the keys and, probably because he sold it to me w/o disclosing its broken odometer, I'm unable to talk to/reach the previous owner.... I know it's a 4cyl but can't google my way to discerning for sure which 4cyl I have, am quite sure it's a KA24E but hoping for conformation, here's an overhead photo but can take any angle/other spot if it's helpful (don't know where else would help..)

Thanks a ton for any confirmation on this, am about to order...a manual (deciding between Haynes and Chilton) and would like to be sure of what I've got!

Let's try that photo again, sorry it's my first time posting photos here.... this is the actual photo url https://imgur.com/a/KEG52z8

and here's "embed" code for it (wrapped with the sites [img) tagging) but doubting that'll do it

(any help with understanding why regular imgur url's aren't working with the `[img/]` tagging would be hugely appreciated as well!!)

Under the links dropdown, you have to choose BBCode to embed it.

On your engine designation, I don't know enough about the Hardbody beyond what a Google search would tell me; but do you have a VIN sticker?
They are usually by the driver B pillar (white sticker) or in the engine bay/firewall (metal plate).
Look in the service manual that we provide here: [go to the GI section]
https://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Hardbody/1995/
The document seems to point at all factory 4 cyl engines being KA24E... or do you have a feeling the engine was swapped out?

That's a SOHC KA24E. Looks to be the motor the truck came with, and they're a great, reliable powerplant.

Great stuff thank you guys! AZhitman was right, and thank you EdBwoy I used a chart from my Chilton's to discern what the vin#'s meant (they cover trim, engine and more, was very worthwhile! I'd already had that page earmarked but didn't realize motor was part of it, so didn't need to open my pdf of the FSM that I'm eternally grateful to this site for providing me :D Had ordered Haynes&Chilton's and am enjoying learning through them but the FSM is the ultimate fall-back / tech document!)

I fixed your image tag in your previous post. Not sure what the heck that was that you had in there, but I clicked your link (which brought me to the imgur page), then right clicked your photo on there, copied image address, and pasted it in the IMG tags here.
That thing should be a solid truck :)

134hp. Not a barn burner, but it'll run a long time.
