ok i know this is really dumb of me but when i cleaned my iacv i didnt put the gasket back on when i installed it. (it was ripped to crud). i think (and HOPE) this is why my car bogs and dies with the maf plugged in, but with the maf unplugged it idles at 2k.

has anyone as dumb as me done this?

or maybe can confirm that my idle acts the way it does because there is no flimsy paper gasket?? -_-

If adding the gasket doesn't fix everything, you could always refer to this thread... it might have some answers for you. zerothread?id=251133
