nah...good oil pressure should keep a ring of oil there to protect from that.

otherwise they'd be arsed and not last long at all.

we all know they last forever.

Good thought, but good oil pressure definatly prevents such wear.

The rings do not stay in the same place, they are constantly moving around so wear would be even.....
