Dude, we had a friggin earthquake!!!!

Anyway, they had a 3.8 up on the NC/TN line, 25 miles north by northwest of Ashville, around 2309 hrs. Now this is the first eartquake call I ever took as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. First to call was a newsie. I thought he smokig something. I am like, "No, we havent had any reports of tremors tonight." He sounded really disappointed that we didnt have any reports and didnt feel it our selves. I still thougth he was nuts, until we got teh first call from a citizen. Hmmm, maybe there is something to this newsie's smoke induced report.

Anyway had a few calls from people that felt it, one broken vase, and that was that. That was one way to make a Wednesday night interesting.

rofl...yeah, it probably didn't cause the kind of bills a tremor in CA would due to it causing undo stress to the chi flow of the beach kids' hair or whatever the new age man tells them...
