Dual N1...yay or nay?

96 240SX

I'm thinking of buying an APEX'i Dual N1. I heard that this exhaust sits very low and scrapes over bumps on a lowered car. Is this true? Also, to fit into my tight budget, can I just get the Dual N1 muffler and get the piping from an exhaust piping shop, or is this not a feasible option? Thanks all!
