my s14 needs a new fan clutch but instead of fixing that, i want to take out the stock fan and put dual electric fans in. i am planning on doing a motor swap next summer and im gonna have to do this mod sooner or later so i wanna kill 2 birds with one stone. i was wondering roughly how much it would cost, if i could get it cheaper online and where, and if it is a complicated process or if i would be able to do it myself...

thanks

pete

i know someone who got a pair of electric fans from a sentra for 35 dollars, you can also use altima fans, and it is much cheaper to get junked parts then to buy new parts when its effecively the same thing

from what i understand, the instalation is easy, just hook up the wire to the fuel pump fuse so they come on when you start the car

Installation can be done running a new constant on with ignition circuit, and reusing the stock cooling fan electrical circuit. Works good this way for me.

Also altima fans work good. Its not a drop in and go deal though. I had to take quite a bit of material off of the sides and the lower corners to fit mine in. I also had to modify the top mounting tabs so they lined up.
