I know the DSM stock T25 are not very big, perhaps no bigger then a CA T25. But i need a turbo better suited for my fwd... as i have been saying a lot lately Does anyone know if the dump pipe is the same as the CA/SR dump pipes?Since i have now learned about the stupid Z32 turbos not being the same, im wondering about the DSM T25.

Any ideas?thx a bunch!

The T25 is crapola, but the 14b and 16G turbos are pretty good. I use a 14b TD05 on 4G61T powered 1995 Hyundai Elantra and that little thing works wonders around the garret blower. It can hold 20psi of boost and comes onto boost pretty fast seeing that my engine is a 1.6 litre.

I def do not need 20psi.

Im just looking for a replacement for my T25, its starting to go. Even if it was working 100% the pipe work is not what it is suposed to be. I cannot mount my turbo how i need it to be with a rwd CA turbo.

I dunt even have a boost controller, im just running stock boost. I only care about driving my car these days, not 300whp (gimme another couple months of enjoying my car again)

I got a good used one at home that's not smoking or spitting oil. Other than that, it might be best to just get it rebuilt.

Rebuild mine? out of the question... cant clock the compresser houseing enuf so that i can put the comp side on the right side of my engine bay. I currently cannot mount my MAF anywhere but off the turbo since there isnt enuf room to pipe it anywhere. and my dump pipe forces my exuast to go under my front engine mount, making it sit about.. 1-2 inches from the ground on average.

basicly the DSM turbos (and some SR20 ones) are setup better for fwd. and i need one like that. so if a DSM T25 is basicly like a CA turbo... dump pipe bolt pattern and all... i think i want one.

OOOR a nice GTIR turbo

The 2G DSM T25 still uses a mitsu turbine housing. The flange and outlet are different than a typical garrett T2 housing. The A/R's are the same as the CA T25 though. Its basically a worthless turbo... DSM guys can barely hit 200whp with it.

I came from the DSM world to Nissans. The t-25 was added into the Eclipse GS-T and GSX starting in 1995 and was there until the end of production of the 2g ('99 IIRC). The 1g 4G63 used the td05 (14b) turbo which while not great is a hell of a lot better than that little t-25. In 95 they switched the 4g63 around a bit, different crank setup (which became a very big problem) in addition to a different compression ratio: it was raised and hence along came the t-25 and out the window went the 14b. There is no such thing as a turbo setup for FWD IMO, just different boot response. Back to subject, to answer your question the turbos are flanged different and won't be a direct boltup, referred to as the mitsu flange = 14b, 16g, 20g, and the 2g t-25.

Flanges are different, but all you need is a garrett t25-to-dsm adaptor plate to make it work. I've seen them online for like $25......Atp Turbo, I think
