Wasssup to the NICO boards...i know how it is when u ask stupid questions on our boards w/o searching..lol..well i searched but didn't find an answer satisfactory yet...

im about to pick up an s13 which a camshaft broke...dont know how it happened but a friend of mine said that it comes w/ another KA motor stock from a 93 or 94 if i remember right..now he said he'll help me swap it in, should take a few days...now i know with our (dsm) motors, preventive maintenence is stressed...what types of preventive maintenence should i do? ...read about the timing chain so ill look into that...oil change is a no brainer, any gaskets i should replace? ... howabout a water pump? the other engine is already out so i might as well do what i need to get it running real good..

primary purpose of this "new" car is going to be a daily driver/backup...DSMs aren't high on the list of low maintenence...also ill admit that i might do some occassional drifting since we have driftsession here in hawaii...got too many friends who are drifters so that damn bug bit me (rx-7s, s13s, s14s, and a few hachis)

appreciate you reading this long a$$ thread...plz reply with any suggestions...thanks

ps. are s13s prone to being stolen? i picked up a 1g dsm since i dont hear of them being stolen..

what's up, I lived in hawaii for a few years, I lived in pearl harbor (military, yeah, I know) anyways I also have a dsm, a 2g gst, and am thinking of getting an s14 before this bastard crankwalks on me. I found this for maintenance on a 240. hope it helps. http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....ber=1NICO Forums - Car runs like new...here's what I did
