So I was lucky enough to go to japan last year and I go to the mazda world head quarters (it was the closest car company to where I was) and I get to take a tour of the plant while they are manufacturing the RX-8. This was in April, mulitple months before they had relised it world wide (so I got a sneek peak). Anyways we go threw the plant and they show us the first maita ever made and some mx-5 coupe models that never made it. Then they tell us how mazda make many other things besides car, such as robots. Then no more than 10 minutes later we get to go and watch the cars being put together on the assembly line and there are these huge robots puting the windshields on the cars and guess what. The robots had the little mitsubishi symbol on them. So mazda's are build by mitsubishi robots. I just thought it was funny.

To piggy back on your story, I think that the machinery that Hyundai uses to make cars, ships and cranes were provided by Mitsubishi as part of war reperations. Funny thing is, Mitsubishi's biggest competitor in Heavy Cranes and Container Ship building is Hyundai. How ironic.

I think my Cam Angle Sensor on my RB20 is Mitsu...thankfully, it's not dealing with the crankshaft or transmission in anyway. :pface

And to add to that, Hyundai engines are derived from Mitsubishi blueprints. :pface

I was glad to learn via the internet that my can of Mandarin Oranges were not prone to "Crank Walk." Mandarin Oranges canned in China were not affected.

They may be 9-bolt, but they are indeed still susceptible, just not as soon. :)
