DS - any must have games?

wife just got a DS lite, is there any "Must have" games?

anything anybody recommends?

already have cooking mama and mariokart.

I've heard MarioKart, the Phoenix Wright Series and Metroid are all good games. Then theres the new Pokemans if you're at all into that. I've been pretty broke, so I haven't shopped for DS games in awhile.

Bomberman is pretty fun if you have a group of friends with DS's. Worms is pretty fun with a group of friends too, kinda lame by yourself though.

Tetris is fun as both a single player and multiplayer game too, it even has wi-fi.

Mario 64 and New Super Mario bros. are good platformers, and if your into RPG's then Secret of Mana and FF3.

Metroid Hunters is fun, especially multiplayer (single player is by far the most lacking Metroid of all, but it's still fun). Grab the DS Rumble Pak (either on it's own or with Metroid Pinball--which is fun not not really worth $40) which Hunters supports.

New Super Mario is fun.

Children of Mana is fun, great coop dungeon crawler.

FFIII is very fun, and has some excellent visuals.

Kirby Canvas Curse uses only the stylus--odd but fun.

Animal crossing is strange and has no point, but is still a great time-waster (multiplayer is even more pointless, but again still fun).

Games that SUCK for the DS:Advance Wars Dual Strike. The dialogue in this game is so bad I can't bear to play it. It's the worst of AOLspeek and it's INTENTIONAL with the intent of being "cool." I can't take it. What could have been a fun strategy game was killed because some idiot developer thought internet lingo was a good idea.

Lunar Knights.REALLY REALLY bad. I read tons of reviews that praised the game up and down and all around. Someone must have been paying the reviewers a lot.The graphics are terrible even by DS standards, and the game is entirely 2D. The story is worse than horrible. The controls are abysmal, with a "dash" move that uses your energy and is also VERY VERY easy to accidentally activate--bad combo. Combat is dull and lacking. Boss fights are anticlimactic and simple. I could go on and on. Don't make the mistake of buying this one--it's a real turd.

I just picked up Touch the Dead, its like House of the Dead only you use the stylus instead of a light gun and tap where you want to shoot, pretty addicting so far.
