Drying cloth for EX35 or any other vehicle?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello,

Do any of you know what kind of cloth I can buy off the net that will last me a long time. In addition, won't provide those sun-ray light circular scratches when you dry your car? I notice MicroFiber clothes tend to make your car full of those circular scratches, is there a rag that dries your car perfectly?

Thank you,

I found my Towels at AUTOGEEK.net

I like this one the best >>> http://autogeek.net/waffle-weave-drying-towel.html

It has Pockets to your hands into.

Hey EXceptional,

Thank you very much for your advice, I am looking into ordering it. Just a few questions prior to order. Is it reuseable, if so what is the procedure to taking care of it, washer/dryer? How long would one last if you have that information?

Also, if you used it, did it make any of those swirl marks in the drying process?

Thank you,
G3LO

I've tried a couple different drying cloths, but I prefer a genuine chamois made from sheepskin, because I can wring out the water and dry without leaving streaks. Does this one do that?

Am I wrong in thinking that the swirl marks originate during the washing and not the drying process??

I use the California Jelly Blade as much as I can on my vehicles. At least for the large flat areas like the roof, hood, windows, etc.

i can dry my entire EX35 with one Towel. I let my Water sheet so that there's very little on the Car before drying.

Yes, most Swirl-marks are from the Washing-process. I used the 2 Pail method with Grit Guards in each Pail.

I use the 2 pail method, with a wash mitt and a chamois for drying. I haven't noticed any swirl marks after 2 years.

Oh I see, I haven't really thought of that. Well I know my drying process should be resolved with the Waffle Weave Towel. I have 2 questions to follow up with:

1) Is there a video demonstrating how to properly dry your car with the WAFFLE WEAVE Towel?

2) What process would you recommend in washing the car? 2 pail method? etc.

Both questions relate to avoiding swirl marks and having a beautiful clean finish.

Thank you in advance,
G3LO

Never have. Not sure if that's even possible.
