One of the locals has an S14 with a "home-brew" turbo kit on his S14, and he let me take it out last night and run it hard. No internal work done, a very low-budget job, and the car has seen better days, but it's really putting down some power.

7 lbs of boost, and it runs amazingly... I can simply NOT wait to get the convertible boosted!

I'm going crazy right now trying to find parts. More I wait the more of the saved money I spend on having fun. My current job only pays half of what I use to make dam hurricane. Was goign to get cheap turbo parts and only run liek 7lbs max and then build my other engine and swap over but now I'm getting ready for college and don't know what to do.

No need to collect much, just buy the Boost Designs Kit. Cheap and quality all in one.

lol, the first KA-T I will ever drive will be mine... I like hearing stuff like this: makes going into this somewhat blind to results seem not so bad. I cant wait either!

Brian - Why haven't we brought those guys on board?

Seems they'd make a good addition to the forums.

Man so many people non turbo...

Just watch out for that 1st run... I installed my vacume lines wrong and boosted to 12psi

But now that I installed my FPR I upped my pressure a bit and am running 11 to 12psi... (Thank you WD for the idea of lots of fuel pressure)

Not a problem man, aslong as you can trim down the duty cycle off boost, raising the fuel pressure will yeild good results and keep you from buying a whole new set of injectors.

toki & far: That's the car.

I don't see how he couldn't be happy with it. $1200 for a boosted S14 is cheap, even if it needs some work.

For now, it's a fun beater that just happens to haul arse (yes, I've driven faster cars, but again - $1200 is cheap).
