Gotta drop the trans on my 1991 240sx, the clutch fork isn't pushing back against the slave cylinder, anybody had this before.
What should I replace when I have the trans out, I know rear main seal, release bearing, and gaskets, but what else if anything.

pilot bushing as well. Make sure you use quality parts. SKF, Timken, Koyo make good bearings.

As to your initial problem that sounds odd. For it to be internal to the trans, the clutch has to be bad, the clutch fork bent/broken, or off of the pivot altogether. Usually it's the slave or master cylinder that are bad.

Why do you think it's not pushing back against the slave cylinder? Just because the clutch pedal is hitting the floor and not coming back or have you done more troubleshooting?

I dropped the trans got, im pretty sure the issue was with the clip holding the clutch fork to the pivot it was somewhat bent and moved on and off the pivot ball, the pressure plate also looks shot. Just from look and feel the throw out bearing wouldn't return to it's static position after pushing on the fork, I put new clips, throw out bearing, and sleeve it moves much better how it should I got a new pressure plate, clutch, and flywheel in the process of going in.

I did get a nice pilot bearing as well. In the process of putting it all in when I got the time, i'll keep updated on how it runs.

My pivot bolt sheared right off inside the bellhousing :(

I ended up getting a stronger NISMO version. You might want to inspect yours while you're in there.

Yeah I put the Nismo pivot on when I was in there, the OEM probably would of probably been fine didn't have much of any wear, but swapped it anyway.

Resurface or replace the flywheel, clutch, throw-out bearing.
