my car was sitting for about a year so when i changed the fuel pump i noticed the gas in the tank was filthy so i wanted to drain it and clean the rust and remove the watter. so i was wondering if there was anything i should know before i undertake this event. tell me your stories.

it sucks. wear a face mask. helps to have a jack with a wood block on it to help support it while you attempt to drop the tank.

nah, just make sure sure u siphon all the gas out, it makes such of a less of a hassle, believe me its worth it. I just dropped mine a week ago, consider a fuel cell instead of a new tank, it takes about $175 to flush out/clean a tank. That price also includes sealer to keep any unseen leaks.
