The Chinese don't copy ****.

It is Americans that outsourced over to China and other Asian countries to have these "knockoffs" made.

Don't assume for a second that Chinese are behind this notion of counterfeiting, it is greedy Americans like you and I who are making these demands.

Im closing, All im saying is that your vision of "dropped 240sx spindle" is plausible; However, it may not be profitable against the performance value. And the only way to find out if I am incorrect, or you're incorrect, is to have the product made. And since, it is not Made, I have the leverage over the arguement, based on the premise that it will be too expensive and the market will not be a large one.

Drop spindles for Silvia chassis are available... but, no surprise, only in Japan. They are made by a small boutique manufacturer/tuner shop, and are not cast, but fabricated from machined sections welded together... a very common practice for custom-built, high-end race vehicles, in case people are afraid that such pieces aren't reliable. Advantages, as conveyed (albeit maybe not as clearly), include retaining the predictability of a near stock height suspension, while being lower than is possible without the dropped spindles. i.e. suppose the drop spindles are 2" lower units, and you dropped the car 2"... then your car will be 4" down, but perform as if it was mildly lowered at 2", which is much more predictable than one lowered 4" where bump steer and potential binding comes into play. It's not a good alternative to lowering springs or coilovers though because, well, they usually don't lower that much (not to mention you ain't gonna be able to get a set for a 240 in the US... yet), and if you're running the spindles only with stock susp, you're still stuck with your clapped out, beat up old susp. ONLY purpose for dropped spindles on a car like the 240, is if you've already modified most of the suspension and are looking for more...

I am curious as to what a drop spindle is? I am a little lost... :emberassed:

And to the above poster, those are roll center adjustable balljoints into a stock arm or a complete arm that looks OEM?

SPL and ikeya and orange tree (battleversion), all make adjustable roll and track LCAs... SPL's being superior in construction and choice of heim joints...

As far as I see, the LCAs on that site cost 76,650 yens.. that translates to roughly 650 dollars... thats more expensive than SPL's LCAs... wtf?
