Drop in filter on KA24E

I was out working on mygirlfriends 04 wrx today and was just looking at the drop in blitz filter that I bought for her and I looked at the size of the filter and it was the exact same size as my 1990's filter so I dropped it in my 1990 240sx and it does fit. So the 04-05 drop in filters for the wrx work on the 1989-1990 240's.
