question, and paul might know the answer. Are they using the euro 4 port or jdm 8 port head for the motor does anyone know?

I was wondering the same thing, but after looking real close, Im about 80% sure they're using the 4 port head.

where are you looking real close floater? the intake manifold is custom made, so can't compare that to stock, and the exhaust manifold ports are the same on both motors (there's always four;)) and i think the valve covers are the same for both 4 and 8 port heads as well...:D

I was about to mention the custom intake manifold. But it also looks like a GTiR manifold, kinda LOOKS like is has individial TB's.

look between the intake bodie and the head, if you look closely, it looks like there are only 4 intake runners. Since ND is in the UK, they would have the 4 port originally, so to have the 8 port, they would have had to import it. Possible, but not plausible.

well float, I've checked out their sight many times as a possiblity for doing my swap before leaving england (but they are to expensive). They do offer both JDM and Euro CA18DETs for sale if someone needs a new motor.

Like I said, it's possible, but not likely. Though if you've got enough money to have ND work on your car, you've got enough to get a JDM motor put in it...

they actually a debate of whether the euro spec heads are a better design for pushing more horses than the jdm ones. some of the guys running decent hp on that board ( decent as in 300 hp upwards) use the jdm block and the euro spec heads. i havent experienced these yet but hope to soon i`m trying to get my brother to source me a euro head being as in he is in england and see what it does.

Its the 4 port head, I had a chat with Simon Norris and he didn't rate the 8-port as much as the 4 port head, he reconned that the 8-port never seemed to make the same power as the 4 port.

We won't know for awhile, the drag strips are closed for a few months now because the weather sucks (more than usual) it will be next year before Richie (the new owner) will get a chance of a few runs.

Richie is working with Simon to utilize a Motec engine managment.

I think this car will hit the magic 600 mark.

what does blag mean, and where does this blag come from? Is it like a grocery blag? Or more kind of like the band blag flag.
