Droid Incredible & the EX

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Car: Infiniti EX35 Journey w/Navi

Post

I just got the Droid Incredible from Verizon and what can I say its the perfect match for the EX (2008 with NAV)! Bluetooth works great and its definitely an upgrade from my previous phone with respect to bluetooth performance. I am going to try the phonebook transfer at some point, wish me luck, I will update once I try.

I hate keeping my IPod in the car (esp since I have the ipod touch which my EX won't charge, plus I deal with extreme heat and cold) I do not have the patience to load all my CD's into the hard drive and I just want to carry one device in my pocket. So I upgraded my micro SD card to a 8GB card and downloaded DoubleTwist. DoubleTwist takes your itunes library and syncs it with non-ipod/phone devices (even playlist). I have 900 songs and it had no problem loading them on the 8GB card (used 6GB), you should consider 16GB if you have a much larger library. The only thing that did not load was the "protected songs" that I purchased before 2008, bummer but looking to burn those onto a CD and re-import to the Droid. I bought Monster AV cables with a headphone input and hooked them up to the AUX inputs in the console. So far it works great and sounds great, I bought a longer cable so I can easily put in front of me if I need to change playlist or songs. Once I hooked a light bulb went off and I totally forgot that I had the CF card input. So I might be doing that transition shortly.

I think this is a great alternative for non I-phone users, the only con is that you loose the on screen navigation & steering wheel controls.
