I uploaded all of the music off of my computer onto my Droid, that's all well and good, but I want to know how I can play it my 99' infiniti I30 with the original Bose tape deck and cd player in it.

Can I just use a tape deck adapter like I used on my Ipod?

In theory, yes, it should work.

However, I'd check one thing to be certain ... the plug for the Droid may be more like the cellular phones small stereo jacks, and thus be smaller than a typical CD player (or iPod). If so, you would need an adapter or adapter cable of some sort.

Thank you for the quick reply!

Just looking at the jack on my phone I can tell it is a regular headphone jack.

Well looks like off to Radio Shack I go tomorrow!

Ask them to try one out first ... just in case, even though I think it will work. Regardless, if you end up buying one, Radio Shack should allow a return in case you have any difficulty.

Remember that cell phones nowadays usually have a "three-circuit" jack, i.e., the connector has stereo output (Left and Right) and microphone input - your manual may elaborate more.

Please confirm this for sure.

It worked! Bought the Ipod headphone jack to tape deck adapter at Radio Shack 21.99, works about as well as I can expect from a tape player, but pleased none the less.

So now there's another thing I can do with my Droid, awesome!

You can also find bluetooth cassette adapters in the $50 range if you want to go wireless. That assumes that the Droid supports music over Bluetooth, of course.

Wow, MOD, didn't see that at Radio Shack. Then again I had my mind focused on finding the wired one, also didn't know they made a cassette deck to bluetooth adapter. That's interesting.

It's going to have to wait until after the hollidays, funds are running a little short, if you know what I mean.

There is full Bluetooth music support when running Android 1.5 (Cupcake) or later.

You should still do your homework prior to purchase though.
