Hello everyone; I'm the original owner of a 94 240sx vert. The engine has developed a whine which is pretty much continuous. Using a mechanics scope, the closest anyone can get to the cause is the power steering pump. Impossible to find an oem or reman, so I'm wondering about doing away with it and replacing it with an idler that matches the geometry. Does anyone here have experience driving without power steering? What does it feel like? Any advice or help is appreciated....thanks!
