I was just wondering what shoes you guys wear when you drive? Whether it be intense driving or just regular driving, for example i don't like driving barefoot or with sandals. Do shoes make a big difference? I'm not talking about racing shoes, i'm talking about regualr shoes you can buy at like footlocker.

I'll drive my car wearing any shoe accept for my old Converse Chuck Taylors. Those things have almost no tread at all. Any time it rains, I can't keep my feet from slipping from clutch, brake and gas pedals while I'm wearing those shoes.

Funny, those are the only shoes I wear for serious driving. Chucks are light, they breath well, they give good ankle support and the smooth sole helps in quick transition between pedals. Plus, the thin urethane sole has real good feedback compared to other footwear.

They do suck in the rain traction-wise, but I don't drive hard in the rain anyway, so it's all good.

They are fine when it isn't raining, but for some reason the ground is wet every time I put those damn shoes on.

Trust me though, those shoes are slippery as hell with just a little bit of water. Maybe I need some fancy new pedals...upgrade time! :D

New Balance all the way. They are for drifting. Initial D told me so. Every time they show takumi's feet bam Big ol' N for new balance. Seriously though I'd wear Van's if I could get them In a wide size. So till I find them New Balance for me. :batman

N.B.s are ok... I have a pair of 662s for regular day use - they are a very comfortable walking shoe. For driving though, the soles are too thick and stiff to feel the brakes and throttle, and its too wide for heel and toe - it'll have to be more like rolling your little toe over on the big toe - very clumsy and inprecise. When I get in the driver's seat, the N.Bs come off and the Pumas go on.

I've got the new Rob Dyrek Pro model from DC. Skate shoes rock for driving because the soles always seem nice and grippy, but yet thin for good pedal feel. Gotta love the gum sole!

Lol! Ive been wearin those for years. I totaled up 23 different pairs. I only have 3 that I wear now and I want 3 more for school. You gotta love em especially when I have a $10 or $20 coupon. Timberlands arent really good for driving imo, but I prefer the Timberland Field Boots over my other ones. I dont like driving in Jordans either.

Old fashioned leather Reebock classic tennis shoes. I actually wear them at the track. Comfortable and don't get stuck between the pedals.
