I am confused, I thought if I left the headlight control in the AUTO position that the lights would be on whenever the engine is running, but the taillights are not on. I put a piece of plastic on the sensor on the right side of the dash and now all exterior lights are on whenever the engine is running; which is what I prefer. The only thing I find in the owners manual is that the headlights would be on if the car is parked and the ignition in the on position, I don't know why anyone would want that anyway!
Is it OK to leave my plastic on the sensor?

Sorry for the misspelling of Driving, my neuropathy in my hands makes me spell incorrectly!
