I don't care what people say about domestics, I love this car. Regardless of the fact I only got to drive it for about 5 minutes and open up on it 3 or 4 times, it ****ing owns. It was a convertable 2003 modified (Exhaust and Intake) 350, yellow. I never thought 407 HP could feel so good. And the sound...ohhhh the sound..it screams at you and you want to scream back. It was an automatic, but it didn't really matter...driving a 40k+ car on unfamiliar roads I would almost want it that way. wow.

Have any of you ever had the pleasure of driving a car with power like this? Or better yet actually made it? I have a renued love for the machine. Best feeling on earth being glued to your seat from the acceleration. The digital speedometer projected into the windshield also made it all the cooler. wow. I want one.

I assume you are talking about the Z06? They are pretty awesome machines. I raced against one in my WRX and got blown away, which is what I expected. I think the automatic transmission on the Z06's are setup to shift better than manual transmissions.

I have. Z06's rock. Much more civilized than a Viper, which I've driven too. It's one of the few American cars I'd consider owning.

It was the standard 350 model, modified with intake and exhaust for 407 HP. :D

I've been lucky enough to log a few hundred miles on an '03 Z06. The sound is wonderful, the forces pushing you hard into your seat are awesome. Alot can still be said for displacement, refinement, when put together. The Z06 is probably one of the best domestic "driver's cars". All GM needs to do is sign a contract with BOSE to replace that Delco unit for those high mileage trips, when you no longer feel the need to listen to the "music coming from the engine"

Im surprised that you were surprised that the Vette was that awesome.Corvette's have been and will be true Supercars for half the price of most cars in their class.Ive been into Vette's for so long. Some of my faves are...1)1963 split window2)1969 427 tri carb w/ side pipes 3)1995 ZR14)2002+ Z06

I just sold my 1974 454 4-speed so now I have several shirts jackets and hats that have Corvette on em.I guess Ill have to buy me another Corvette to go with them!;)

i live in the town that the vette's are made, so they are no big thing to be at all. the new Caddy XLR's are being made at the Vette plant, so i see them running around town. this chik mashed the gas down on one the other night, sounded great. but again, no big thing, since i see them all the time. i went to the plant and got a very detailed tour (have friends that work there) and i got to start a BRAND NEW vette right off the assembly line. it was the first time i had been started. it was a white 6speed. ahhh so nice.

Well, i thought it was so great party because I had never drivin anything over 220 HP and my driving expierence hasn't been too lengthy. But wow. Yeah. That made my weak. Another thing that I just found out is that I might be able to pick a low 12 running 88 stang for $2700. I still have to go check it out. But yeah..I hope the power will be close to that of the vette. Custom build block and all that goodness. Don't know how it will work out as a daily ride but thats why i have to go look at it...my little car universe is almost comming full circle.

I got the privilage to drive one of my girlfriends 95 vette with the the t top to tennessee in the middle of the night. There was a long straight drive I had it flored for more than 5 minutes and I felt like I was flying. I felt if it just went a little faster it would start to glide off the ground. Don't ask me the top speed or how long it took me to get out there cause the only thing I remember was my heart beating and the adrenalin pumping.

I wonder if both of you had stuck your arms out the windows and angled your hands just right you would have taken off?

I don't know but I couldn't take my hands off the wheel from the force holding them there.
