Hi there. I am aiming to have my 200sx (S12) RB25det project completed by late june, but I am totally lost as to what to do about my driveshaft. My engine set did not include the yoke, and I am in dire need of a solution.

I can't use the tophat/mckinney "240sx --> Rb25" driveshafts since my diff flange is different, as well as the overall length/transmission placement. So I need to have one custom made..

I was going to buy this: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAP...:CA:1

but he said it was a 28 spline.. I was under the impression that the 300zx turbo and the R33 transmission shared the same tailshaft and yoke dimensions...

I see the tophatperformance driveshaft uses "all new components etc etc" but WHERE do they get these? I have searched high and low, to no avail. I have even gone as far as hardy spicer in australia!!

I need a yoke and its matching U joint that will work.. Plain and simple. If anyone knows where to get one, or HAS one I need it within 10 days and I will pay for the super-fast-awesome-hardcore shipping....

PLEASE HELP!

-Dan

i lugged my transmission down to a driveshaft specialist. (lot of those for the off road guys here in town)

he counted the splines and gave me one. so you might be able to just call them and see what they need to know. theyre easy to come by, just not known as rb25yokes

Call up your local driveshaft shop. Tell them you need a 300zx yoke and s12 rear flange, they will be able to make it for you. The yoke and flange are nothing special...

just about all shops cannot reuse the stock yokes, building a new shaft requires new yoke/joint/coupler.. basically makes them completely rebuildable if they ever fail. but like said before your going to need a yoke from a z32 and the flange from the s12 diff.

I've contacted several driveshaft shops already, and none of them can get just the yokes of universal joints.. I should have mentioned this.

Anyways, as long as you are all certain that the Z32 yoke will work, I will go ahead and 'ebay' a driveshaft and have it shipped direct to the driveshaft shop.

Thanks!

the 20 is the same as the KA, which is different than the 25.
