I don't think they're is a an easy way. My recommend is to follow the directions in the FSM.

Thanks for the link driver. I checked it out and what I've been calling the drive shaft is actually the propeller shaft. And it doesn't really give any help under removal, they make sound like you just pull it right off. And that can't be right? It can't be that easy can it? Lol. So any tips on how to get out the propeller shaft would be appreciated

It gives a step by step starting at PD5 ??
This isn't a chevy lol.
And being a balanced shaft you want to mark everything before you disassemble.

Did I really just over look all of that? Haha. I'm glad you pointing it out to me yoda, I guess I just need to slow down sometimes. Especially when it comes to working on the J. Thanks for the help guys.
I have one more question before this thread dies though. My batery doesn't want to charge while the car is running, and when the car is off it will drain the battery completely within about 10 hours. I was told that taking the negative cable off the batery while it is running to see if it will stay running will determine if the alt Is good or bad(true??) Because I tried it and it didn't kill. I know the battery is good because I ran it in another car. Any clue what it could be? I know it's probably a wild chase but it's worth a shot to ask around. Especially with everything y'all know about the J

After you shut it off see if you hear a buzzing sound on the passenger side rear of the engine bay.
Its not uncommon for the ABS relay to stick closed.
That will definitely drain the batt.
Mine does every once in a while and just tapping the box with my Leatherman stops it.
