This weekend I did a motor swap and everything went well except the driveshaft. The KA driveshaft won't button up to the SR transmission so smoothly. There is about 1 1/2 inches that still pertrudes from the transmission and the damn thing just won't go in any further.

It also doesn't help that I have a J30 diff that is 3/4 of an inch longer than that of the original KA diff.

My thoughts are that if the drive shaft is as far as it will go into the transmission and and somehow I were able to get the shaft on the diff then once I lowered the car the shaft would just ram up into the transmission more, possibly messing something up. The shaft needs room to flex so that when you hit a bump it has room to move with that bump.

I'm completely lost.

What would be my possible solutions?

Is there any way I could come a cross an SR yoke that would slide in the butt of the transmission just right?

Is there a difference in length or anything between the KA driveshaft and the SR driveshaft?
