I just swapped in an sr20det and for some reason when I drive the 6 bolts that hold the driveshaft to the transmission are rubbing against the rubber end of the transmission I used the yoke end piece from the ka transmission I am wondering if that makes a difference and may be causing the driveshaft bolts to be rubbing against the end of the transmission.

You didn't take that dust cover off did you... If you have that piece that extends out from the back of the trans it needs to be removed. I don't have a picture of it, but it is pressed on the back of the tail of the trans.

if you had a pic I could understand a little better I will try to take a pic tomorrow of it and I know there is a piece that looks like an octagon that I used to hold the transmission and driveshaft bolts together

it's the dust collar, when you swap you either run with out one, or you can do what i did and remove what you need to so you can use it (sawzall is your friend).

thanks for the help guys I got that piece off and it worked thanks for the help and I am wondering why do they even have that piece on the transmission if it just rubs the driveshaft?

The SR and KA drive shaft input shafts are slightly different. YOU can cut the dust cover to keep it if you want.
