So i recently pulled my SR out of my S13 hatch to replace some internals. Now i got everything back in the car and went to re-install the drive shaft only to see this

where the drive shaft meets the tans

now im pretty sure its not supposed to be like that but i dont under stand how this is happening. The motor is on the mounts properly as well as the trans brace and is even sitting right where the pivot thing bolts to the underside of the body.

Can anyone help me with this? :wtf2:

It's normal. On my S12, it's the same.

Though there is supposed to be a metal shield that covers that area.

As he said, that is normal. I haven't seen an SR transmission with one, but the KA transmissions have a brass collar there to fill the void. I had the collar and was going to swap it but its a pain, I left it off. It doesn't effect it in anyway.

yup like they said, its normal unless u want to put a dust collar on it but u will have to cut some of it off if its the sr20 collar.
