driveshaft question...

i just got my first Z and it is a 1987 300zx n/a, it is an automatic and i want to put a 5 speed in and i was wondering if i can use the same drive shaft, or do i have to get one to go with the transmission... please help, thanks!

driveshaft is different, these cars are cheapenough you are better off buyng the car you want, if you must do the conversion, it's a lot easier to get a donor car, and the 84-86 chassis has completely different trans mounts so unless you plan to do some welding get an 87-89 donor

Also you will need the console and all the interior pieces and all that. Im not sure about the z31 but some cars are a bi#ch to get the clutch pedal out and in without removing the dash.

alrighty thanks for the info... i have been toying with selling it and just getting a turbo/5 speed 300z or 240 anyways.
