i got a j30 vlsd with the damn sensor on it, which my car isnt abs. so i know i need the abs driveshaft because my non abs will take up the slack but cause me to have to keep replacing the rear main seal every couple months. now i can get a s14 auto abs driveshaft for 30 bucks. so will the s14 driveshaft fit on my s13?? i have a 5speed as well not auto. thank you for the help guys

you cant run an auto driveshaft

the sensor on the diff doesn't matter.

i have never had a problem running an abs or non-abs shaft with any of my cars with a j30

reason being guys is that from what ive learned from searching is that the non abs drive shaft is like .75" inches to long if the j30 vlsd has the abs sensor. now i can use my drive shaft i have now, which is the 5 speed non abs. which will end result to me replacing my rear mainseal every couple months due to the pressure or stress or something from the driveshaft being too long. now this may be incorrect but ive searched and a few said that they have had those problems. but also some ppl have a prefect fit with the non abs shaft even with the dif having the abs sensor ring. im trying to avoid all these problems by just getting the abs shaft. so therefore i will have a perfect fit and not have to have any problems and 0% downtown in the future minus the regular maintance and such. hope im not confusing.

i see wat your getting at...no you really should be ok the diffs shouldnt be that much different because from what your saying the abs diff is longer than the non abs diff but i dont think it is

Just do it, nothing will happen. Since the rest of your driveline is probably stock, the mounts will soak up the extra length.

Why don't you take the LSD innards out of the ABS casing and put them into your non ABS casing?

Then your lengths will all be correct and you will still have LSD.
