driveshaft problem

so im doing a swap on my friends car, just got done rebuilding the motor (s13 sr20det black top) iv got everything 2gether and im putting the driveshaft in and its to long by at least 2 inches from what it looks like. its a stock setup sr transmission stock single cam driveshaft out of a hatch, now its in a coup, there shouldn't be a difference so...? help needed please

If the transmission is a SR unit you need to knock the dust cap off of the transmission. If you are using a KA rear section on your transmission you will need to trim some of the rear off of the transmission so your shaft can slide in further....the KA transmission is slightly longer

thank you very much=) ill go check it out. this my first sr20 swap ive done rb20det 25 and 26 but never a sr20 lol thanks again though
