I've already taken the old driveshaft out.

The new one will not slide into the transmission. I have tried everything I can and even tried installing the old one.

Are there any tricks to getting this done? I'm at a loss.

The new Driveshaft is one from Conceptzperformance.com its from Inland Empire.

There seems to be a piece of rubber around the spline that wont budge.

Is it the right one? The splines are different for the N/A and TT. Count the splines on both the old one and the new one. If there's a different count, there's your problem.

To clarify, the old one still fits fine, right?

Did you lube the end of the shaft with trans fluid? Either way it should slide in pretty easy. The splines have to live up so you usually have to rotate it some to get it in. If it still won't go in, there might be something wrong with the rubber end seal?

maybe.. it doesnt make sense that the old one won't go i either. I'm thinking the splines weren't lined up correctly.

it may have a master spline. when you checked the spline count was there one that was larger then the others? like a spline that was about 2 normal splines wide in 1? i bet thats what it is...also a few drips of trans fluid on the splines would definitley help

problem solved. the angle we were working with wasn't good so we removed the sway bar and differential brace.
