Hello. I did try searching but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Full Story*Shorter version below*: Last night I placed an order at driveshaftshop.com for a single piece aluminum drive shaft for my RB25DET swap. So I chose from their drop down menu the "89-94 S13 ABS Diff/RB25(using Skyline Cross member)" option, which is exactly what I have and need the shaft for. So I place my order and today I receive an email from them asking if I'm indeed using the Skyline cross member and what mounts I'm using and if the engine has moved from the stock location. I reply with I'm using the R33 cross member, the (what appears to be) stock motor mounts and I don't think the engine will be moved. I then get another email asking for a measurement from the seal on the transmission to the flat plate on the differential. Here's where my problem lies. My engine and transmission are not in my car and I was hoping to get the drive shaft made before they go in and I figured Drive Shaft Shop would have all the measurements on hand as their page said nothing of providing more measurements. So can anyone help me out with the measurement?

Cliff's Notes: Does anyone know the length between the transmission seal and flat plate on the diff of a '92 240SX with RB25DET? Using the R33 crossmember, stock mounts, and has ABS.

Thanks

what they are try to do is build you a DS correct the first time. there are many combo of mounts(kits and home made )and crossmembers, the do not want to build it twice..

yeah, i would also just wait till the engine is in and take the measurement for yourself.

safest and best way to get it right.

I figured, and I understand why but I still would like to have it made up first.

I guess I can just drop it in, lightly bolt it up,take measurements, and then take it back out.

to many option unless thay have the combo you have in you car already worked out. Making the shaft 2 (twice) is costly and you will think that they, may not know what there doing. Just give them the measurment. it should only take a extra 3-4 days to get the shaft...
