Hey guys, I recently swapped my ka24e transmission for a ka24de transmission but the driveshaft wouldn't fit back on due to it being about an inch too long. The ka24de transmission is a little longer than the ka24e one, due to the metal circle thing at the end. I own a 89 non-abs 240sx. Do i need a different driveshaft or can I modify something to make it fit? :gapteeth: Your advice is highly appreciated!

I believe you need to get a 91 to 94 manual drive shaft.

So turns out the previous owner decided to remove abs from the car... the diff has an abs sensor that's cut and the drive shaft is also abs. Do I need to replace both? Basically i need to know what combination is compatible with my ka24de transmission? :gotme

It's been a while since I have played with KA transmissions, but doesn't that round thing just get knocked off the end? Smack it with a hammer / vice grips. I think it just presses in there.

Clamp a vise-grip on it and then hit the vise-grip with a hammer. It's just pressed in there in a groove.
