A couple questions here:

This is for a two piece driveshaft. To a 93 se v6 4x4 standard. The bearing went last year, replaced and failed from poor installation. Then lasted one year and failed again. Just had it replaced under warranty.

1. As I drive it for 30 minutes the bearing is warm-hot to touch, is this normal? As it is already making a friction whining noise in fourth gear 5 minutes into its first drive.

2. What are the chances of a 1996 v6 xe extended cab auto trans. With a two piece driveshaft having the same shaft? And how do I find out or measure it properly?

I figure there could be driveshaft problems or any other ideas I am open to suggestion.

Thanks for such a great forum all!

What are the measurements needed to know if one driveshaft fits another truck?

You have a better chance of winning the lottery then making the 1996 fit. I believe from 7/92 to some month in 1995 willl work? Check the frame for rust out,the center bolt in the springs and the transmission mount.

The drive shaft may have been heated with the gas wrench resulting in the loss of integrity. The drive shaft is balanced from the factory possible a weight came off causing the shaft to be out of balance. Might try a OEM Nissan bearing

Just a thought , did they happen to put the bearing in backwards? It can be done and will lock up frying the bearing and cause all kinds os problems. I know I didn't find out until reading the service manual that there is and F on the rubber designating "front" after I installed one the wrong way, it fit but wouldn't turn.
