Driveshaft Bolts on 93 J30???

Hey guys,

In the process of trying to get my transmission out of my 93 J30, and I'm having some trouble trying to remove the 4 bolts connecting the propeller shaft to the differential flange. Wondering if anyone has gotten these out and how, only able to use open end wrenches, cannot fit a box wrench or sockets on either side, and these things are really tight, I have already stripped one nut, and now I'm probably just going to use my dremel to cut the stripped nut out. Also want to know if these bolts are easily replaceable???

Soaked them with PB breaker like crazy on my second swap. the first time i had to cut 2 of the bolts to get them out cause they stripped.

Thanks for your reply, finally was able to take the propeller shaft off the J30 today. Hey, seen your videos on youtube, cool J30, pic above is also nice.

Swimshark, thanks for your help, I'm also wanting to know how did you disconnect the transmission cooler lines from the transmission while connected to the car? Did you disconnect the lines on the transmission itself, how did you access the left side cooler line bolt? Almost there just need help on how to disconnect the cooler lines from the trans.

i just went at them with an adjustable wrench and pulled them out then dropped the trans. after trans was out i threaded them out after disconnecting them from the radiator.

Thanks swimshark, need help on one other thing, how did you reach and loosen the bolts at the very top of the transmission where the bolts go into the engine?

Was able to drop my transmission today, top two bolts were kind of tricky, but luckily I was able to do it, thanks swimshark for helping me out on this project!
