drivers side window problems

my window started acting up about a week ago... when i put up my window and shut the car off it would be up then when i stepped out and closed the door it would go down about 12 inches.... didnt realy mind until thursday when we had torrential downpours....anyways now the switch is completely shorted out.....just wondering if anyone else had this problem.... its an 2003 350 track...... thanks

Yep...my sister-in-law's G35 does the same thing ...better get it checked quick! Sometimes it goes down when she isn't even around...a short somewhere in the switch is what I think she said.

I've hears a lot of the early cars had window motor problems, if you have any warranty left get to the dealer and unless you have warranty left or they made it a recall it's gonna cost you

I had the motor in my passenger side door go bad on my Z. If you are still under warranty you can go to the dealership and convince them to swap it for you. The swapped out the motor which was great but they put the inner door panel back on wrong so I had to take that all the way apart, realign the window and then put it back together in the right order, but it's worth it for a free window motor (which is normally about $400).
