drivers side power window problem

my drivers side keeps burning up window motors ive gone through three since i bought it ,all on the drivers side.the guy i bought ithe car from says its an amplifier but i dont know where it is in the door on on the 95 its right below the handle but i have a 96 and its not in the same spot has any one had this problem the passenger side works fine i put a brand new motor in the drivers this weekend on saturday and it died today i took it apart and one of the little brushes on the motor was melted. this same thing happened to the other two motors i had before this one im getting tired of taking my door apart..............someone please help me

try swapping out the window switch, could be sticking on an keeping the motor energized.

when i bought the car the switch was bad but i replaced i got a switch from z fever that works fine but the window still cranked very slowly and eventually stopped and i havent been able to keep one running for more then a week since then\.the kid at xat told me about the amplifier but i didnt ask where it was like a dumba-- if anyone knows where on the car its located let me know

i suggest looking in the chiltons/hanes manual.
