Good Afternoon Recently Purchased a 1990 300ZX NA has power locks, but when I go to lock it only the passenger side door locks. The drivers side door will not lock. Any Solutions to the issue/where to find parts to solve problem?

Using a key fob or the physical key?

If a key fob, more than likely the actuator is bad, assuming it even has one. Mine doesn't, as it wasn't factory equipped with one. Also begs the question if it is a factory or aftermarket alarm system.

If the hard key, then it's a super difficult fix with a super cheap part. Upgrade the plastic door lock piece to the metal one and you're good to go.

Agreed, if the car has an aftermarket alarm system but the stock alarm was not removed, there can be issues with the compatibilty. I had a Viper system years ago in my old NA, but like you the driver's door would not lock/unlock while passenger side worked flawlessly, and both actuators seemed OK. One day the two systems got into an argument if you will, leaving me locked out of a flashing, honking, Z car. Bottom line is after the battery died I could manually unlock the ps door and open the hood and recharge the batt, but knowing this could certainly repeat the next trip was to the alarm dealer to remove the old system. Which was OK for a few days...and then the driver's door again failed to work. I opened it up, and yep- the actuator connector is the Good Old Nissan Crapola non-shielded item prevalent throughout an otherwise excellent car, so a quick cleaning and maxi-electrical tape wrap of the whole area made for correct operation until the car's engine died. You'd think they'd have learned about rust and corrosion by then, but if so they don't show it by using such garbage.
Hope this helps!

Super cheap fix. https://conceptzperformance.com/z1-moto ... p_8365.php

Not the hardest repair I've ever done but still a booger. Just hard to get to. But when you replace with this part, it's metal and won't break in the future like the plastic oem one. It's attached to the back of the lock tumbler inside the door. Pretty straightforward but if you get hung up take some pics and we can help
