I have a 01 M45 and my seat stopped going back and forth a while ago , ok for me but not the wife. Well now the seat bracket broke and I need to fix it. How do I get to the rear bolts when I can't move the seat? Thanks for taking the time to read this

It's the front drivers seat.

Finally got it out , had to take off the front "caps" (three phillips head screws in front , each side) and turn the small plastic gears by hand (P.I.A.). I remember seeing something about a kit for these but I'll be danged if I can find it now. Any help??? I also remember seeing the dealers want to only sell the whole bracket or something. Thanks

Hopefully one of the Y34 guys will chime in with some help, I have the Y50.
You can type in broken seat bracket into the search feature and prob come up with some direction. The Y50 has well documented issues with the front driver seat.

Ahh, one of my favorite subjects. I replaced those gears twice, actually. One of the replacements I bought cracked after a year or so, but the manufacturer replaced it at no cost.

These seats and seat rails really don't like their job, apparently.
