I've heard it said that the two pre-set buttons for seat position on the door of Q's (mine is a 90) are set to different learned settings for the car's computer - i.e. there is a different driving pattern learned for driver 1 and driver 2.

Is this so? If it is, is there any reasons that if only one person drives the car that one button couldn't be used for say city-driving mode and the other for highway-driving mode. (The seat position could presumably the same.)

Not sure what you are asking, the seat memory buttons connect to the seat ecu not the engine ecu.

Are you speaking of the adaptive learning of the tranny and engine ecu. Which are primarily to accomodiate wear [to keep the system trying to perform as new]. Block learn trims for slight injector fouling [+-10%].The trany adapts for some clutch wear and ATF temperature changes not much else. What city highway adjustment are you speaking of ?
